HIGH risk vulnerabilities concerning Xen which may lead to privilege
escalation.

Xen has released various advisories [R 1]. Of these advisories XSA 195
(concerning CVE-2016-9383) and XSA 198 (concerning CVE-2016-9379 and
CVE-2016-9380) are rated 'HIGH' risk by SVG for affected sites.

The other advisories are probably not relevant in the EGI environment, but
sites running Xen are advised to verify this.

Sites running XEN should apply the relevant patches as soon as possible, if
they have not done so already.

This advisory has been prepared as part of the effort to fulfil EGI Software

Vulnerability Group (SVG)'s purpose  "To minimize the risk to the EGI
infrastructure arising from software vulnerabilities"

procedure [R 3] in the context of how the software is used in the EGI
infrastructure.
